Have a wonderful summer! I will miss you all so much. This year has been delightful and I am so blessed to have had each of my students. Remember to keep reading this summer. You can also practice math facts so you'll be ready for 3rd grade. I will see some of you at summer school on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Remember to stop by in the fall to give me hugs and tell me about your summer. You never get too old to give your 2nd grade teacher a hug! God bless you and I love you all.

Weekly Homework for June 9-12
There will be no more Bible verse or Spelling Lists this year.
Math: Please work on drill facts with your child. We will be taking a few more math timed tests.
Reading: Please be sure to have your child read to you at least 15-20 minutes daily. Your child’s final Reading Log is due Monday, June 9.
This last week is going to be an exciting and fun one! We have lots of fun things planned!

This list is a review of words. Please review the spelling and vocabulary words nightly in preparation for the pre-test on Tuesday and the final test on Friday. This will be out last spelling list for the year.
Bible Story: We will be learning about the wisdom of James.
Weekly Bible Verse: “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you mat be healed.” (James 5:16b)
Please help your child memorize the verse for the test on Friday.
Reading: Please be sure to have your child read at least 15 - 20 minutes daily. Reading logs should be completed and returned on Monday so that I can record them.
Math: Please be studying math facts each night. Students may turn in completed timed tests for extra credit. We are doing timed multiplication tests daily. All students should have passed their 12’s by now. Please be working on multiplication and catching up if behind. I would like all students to pass their 6’s for the second time by June 2, 2008. All students will begin taking the 100 fact multiplication tests. Some students are already completing 100 facts in 2 minutes, others in 3, 4, or 5 minutes. By the end of the school year, each child should be able to complete this test in at least 5 minutes. Please study over the weekend!
